Vegas To Play Host to IRE 2024
The International Roofing Expo begins this week, and the largest roofing and exteriors event in North America chose Las Vegas as the site of the 2024 event.
Taking place from February 6-8, IRE 2024 will give residential and commercial roofing professionals the chance to meet suppliers, discover new products, network with the global industry and improve how they run their businesses.
A Mega Venue for A Mega Conference
This year’s IRE will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the Central Hall. This is a massive venue, but a wise choice considering this year’s event could draw close to 15,000 roofing professionals and over 500 suppliers.
Over 14,000 roofing pros gathered at the 2023 event in Dallas. One of the highlights of last year’s event was the Raise the Roof Concert featuring Eric Church and Darius Rucker. If you missed last year’s event, here is the photo gallery.
Live Building Clinics
This year’s IRE will tackle one of the toughest challenges facing roofing contractors: the desire to expand your business into other exterior replacement product lines despite the shortage of skilled labor.
These interactive demonstrations will be presented by top industry experts in a real-world jobsite setting. The clinics will covera range of topics including exteriors, metal shingle installation, standing seam, flashing, window installation.
Renowned building expert Mike Sloggatt will detailbest practices when installing different styles of weather barriers and flashing prior to the exterior cladding. Mike will also review proper flashing details when replacing windows.
Metal Roofing Popularity Continues To Rise
Metal roofing’s popularity continue to increase nationwide. This year’s IRE seeks to help roofing contractors understand the elements that influence material selection, panel fabrication, and installation processes that enhance contractor productivity and building owner satisfaction.
In a series of clinics, presenters from theMetal Construction Association and Metal Roofing Alliance will discuss how to select the best material for the job, present industry best practices for installing metal shingles and standing seam panels, and demonstrate proper on-site rollforming techniques.
Top Manufacturers in Vegas
Top manufacturers and suppliers attending this year’s IRE will include LP SmartSide Siding & Trim, CertainTeed Siding, James Hardie, Westlake Royal Building Products – Siding and Trim Solutions, the Vinyl Siding Institute, ProRemodeler Magazine and many more.
