IBS & KBIS 2024 in Las Vegas
If you need to find a building pro in the month of February, your odds are good in Las Vegas. The 2024 International Roofing Expo just wrapped up six days ago, and now the greatest building show on Earth opens to attendees and exhibitors.
The NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) takes place over the next three days, as well as the NKBA Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS). Both events are co-locating during Design & Construction Week (DCW) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
This year marks the return of the two main events, IBS and KBIS, being held simultaneously during Design & Construction Week. Registration includes access to all of this year’s exhibits.
A New Layout for the IBS Exhibit Floor
Another change for IBS 2024 involves the layout of the exhibit floor. To make it easier to navigate, IBS is creating six separate Product Segments including Building Materials, Global Products, Professional Services, Construction Tools, Interior Finishings and Outdoor Living.
Building Materials is by far the broadest category with over 120 different types of building materials from A to Z….or at least A to W…Acoustical Materials to Wood Products.
In between, there is every building product imaginable from Doors and Glass to Plumbing Equipment and Roof Truss Systems to Siding and Water Heaters.
Multiple Zones for Innovative Building Product Demos
As always, IBS attendees will have the chance to learn about innovative building products and new techniques at multiple zones inside and outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Construction Performance Zone is an annual favorite and returns to the South Hall with no fewer than three dozen, 30-minute interactive demonstrations using the latest tips and tricks in high-performance construction.
Some of the featured demos include Footers Done Fast, Insulating Below Grade, Integral Membrane vs, House Wrap, Getting Windows Set for Maximum Durability, HVAC Inside the Envelope & Solar on Top, and Building Diagnostics 101.
IBS 2024 Featured Events
This year’s IBS 2024 featured events begin tonight with the Official IBS House Party sponsored by Rho. The sold-out event will be held at Drai’s on the 11th floor rooftop deck of the Cromwell Hotel overlooking the Las Vegas Strip and the Bellagio fountains.
The other featured events on the second and third evening of IBS 2024 are the IBS Young Pro Party for professionals 40 and under, as well as the IBS Closing Concert on Thursday night.
