Cress V. Diglio has devoted the past 25 years of his life to helping hard working business owners receive maximum value for their life’s work. This unwavering commitment to doing what is right for his clients has made Cress one of the most decorated business intermediaries in the United States.
Cress began his career at the age of 28, nearly half the age of the average Business Intermediary. Growing up, working in his family businesses, helped Cress understand the needs and concerns of Business owners. Prior to becoming a business intermediary, Cress owned a successful commercial/residential paint contracting business for seven years. Due to his upbringing in his family business and growing his own business, Cress has the unique ability to connect with his clients on many levels. His concern for his clients’ well-being is genuine.
With a lifelong commitment to learning, Cress has received high level training from CII and advanced training from the IBBA and M&A Source. This education coupled with his immediate success in selling businesses, allowed him to earn two of the most sought-after designations in the industry, CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) and M&AMI (Mergers and Acquisition Master Intermediary). Since then, he has received other prestigious awards such as the Tom West Award, The IBBA Chair’s Award, Lifetime CBI, Fellow of the IBBA, Master Certified Business Intermediary, Certified Trainer plus over 50 industry and company top sales awards.
Cress’ crowning achievement was being named the Chair of the IBBA in 2015. The IBBA is the largest association of Business Intermediaries in the world. It is considered the highest honor in the profession to be named IBBA Chair. Cress and his father are the only father and son duo to hold the distinction of IBBA Chair.
Cress continues to give back to business brokerage by volunteering his time training future CBI’s. He also created and hosts the IBBA Insights Podcast which helps educate business owners on the process of selling their business, obstacles they may face, current events affecting business owners and advice on how to maximize their business value prior to contemplating an exit.
