Restoration Builders Acquires Massey Construction Group
Restoration Builders Holdings, Inc. (Restoration Builders) has announced the acquisition of Massey Construction Group, a leading provider of commercial and residential roofing services in Southwest Florida and South Florida.
Based in Naples, Massey Construction Group has been serving Southwest Florida business and homeowners for 25 years, originally as Southeast Contracting Corporation as Massey Construction Group for the past decade.
Voted “Best Naples Roofing Contractor” in 2023, Massey Construction Group has earned a reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. Founding principal Mark Massey will join Restoration Builders in “an expanded managerial capacity, fortifying leadership and ensuring a seamless transition,” according to the official press release.
GAF Opens New Commercial Roofing Plant In Valdosta
This week GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, announced the company has started production at its newest manufacturing facility in Valdosta, Georgia. GAF purchased 130 acres of land and commenced construction of the new plant in 2022.
Now fully operational, the new 425,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Lowndes County supports the company’s thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing manufacturing and joins the company’ other TPO operations in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah.
In the official press release, GAF elaborated on the location and local talent advantages that made Valdosta the perfect choice to complement the company’s existing operations in Savannah, Statesboro and Cumming:
The company chose Valdosta because of its ideal location relative to other GAF operations, vicinity to major highways and railways, and pool of talented workforce across the region. The city and its residents bring a wealth of experience and capabilities in the manufacturing sector that will benefit both the region and GAF’s operations.

ABC Supply Building New Facility On Florida's Space Coast
ABC Supply Co., North America’s largest wholesale distributor of roofing supplies, is building a new 60,000-square foot facility in Rockledge to better serve customers along Florida’s Space Coast, according to an article this week in Space Coast Daily.
When it officially opens in the first quarter of 2025, the new ABC Supply Co. facility in Rockledge will become the company’s fourth location on the Space Coast and the 60th ABC location in the State of Florida.

Edge Roofing Expands To South Georgia With New Franchise
Edge Roofing, a North Georgia-based provider of commercial and residential roofing services, has announced the company’s expansion to South Georgia with the opening of a new franchise based in Lowndes County.
The new Edge Roofing franchise will be located in Valdosta and operated by Justin Ryan whose “dedication to excellence aligns perfectly with (our) brand,” according to the official press release.
Established in Dahlonega in 2015, Edge Roofing has installed over 10 million square feet of commercial and residential roofing in Georgia. The company is an Ownes Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor.
Startup Acquires Florida Solar Panel Installation Company
A Maryland-based startup that envisions becoming a national parent company to local clean energy businesses has made its third acquisition since forming earlier this year, according to PE Hub.
Civic Renewables has announced their acquisition of Florida Power Management, a leading installer of solar energy solutions for commercial and residential customers in Central Florida.
Founded in 2017 by owner Matt LeStarge, Florida Power Management sells solar systems and installs solar panels on residential homes and commercial properties primarily in the Orlando and Tampa markets.
The deal marks Civic Renewables third acquisition of 2024 following previous acquisitions in Pennsylvania/Ohio (Green Rack), and Virginia (Ipsun Solar).
