Synergos Acquires The Largest Shell Contractor In The Southeast
Synergos Companies, a fast-growing family of residential construction trade partners, has taken another giant step forward with the recently announced acquisition of the largest shell contractor in the Southeast, ODC Construction.
Orlando-based ODC Construction has built a reputation as a leader in shell construction in Florida and the Carolinas. Established in 2011, ODC specializes in foundations, first-floor block masonry and lumber framing services.
Synergos CEO Rich Gallagher says the ODC acquisition was the logical next step as the Arizona-based company seeks to expand its footprint in the Southeast:
Given the growth trends in the Southeast, Florida is the perfect next step for Synergos as we bring our business model to construction markets that value predictability and genuine builder-trade partnerships. ODC is a trusted name in the greater Orlando market, both known and appreciated nationally. ODC shares our vision of quality and transparency. – Rich Gallagher
Synergos has an innovative business model focused on making construction projects a truly integrated process, and each acquisition is viewed as another step in reducing inefficiencies and waste. Prior to ODC, Synergos acquired companies with a strong market presence in Arizona, California and Nevada.

The University of Florida is now home to one of the world’s largest and most advanced 3D construction printers which will play a pivotal role in both the College of Engineering and the College of Design, Construction and Planning (DCP).
The 27,000 pound BOD3 printer was shipped in multiple containers from Denmark to the Port of Savannah before arriving in Gainesville last week aboard two semi trucks. “The addition of this cutting-edge equipment will distinguish UF from its peers by offering unique experiential learning opportunities. UF remains at the forefront of addressing industry needs, and through the introduction of our new Industrialized Construction program, the 3D printer will exemplify the latest advancements in technology aimed at addressing critical societal challenges.”
