Oasis takes over the management role and responsibilities at the Dania Beach Marina from Westrec Marinas who assumed control of management of the 92-slip marina in October of 2010.

Encino, California-based Westrec previously sold the Harbour Towne Marina in Dania Beach to Suntex Marinas for $49 million as part of a $400 million portfolio deal. Harbor Towne features both wet slips and 650 dry storage spaces

Westrec was selected by the City of Dania Beach through a comprehensive RFP process in early 2010 for the management and operation of this municipal marina located directly on the IntraCoastal Waterway, oceanside on Dania Beach.

"The Yuppie Castle in The Sand"

The Dania Beach Marina was developed by the City of Dania Beach with the support of the Broward County Board of Commissioners.

Formerly known as the SeaFair Marina, the Dania Beach Marina was originally developed as the marina component of a much larger retail and entertainment complex in Dania Beach built by The Aragon Group in the 1980s.

At the time of the initial project opening in 1985, the Sun-Sentinel described the ambitious SeaFair Marina with boutique shops and gourmet ice cream parlors as a “Yuppie Castle in the Sand.”

Oasis Expands Florida Marina Portfolio to 9 Locations

With today’s Dania Beach announcement, Oasis has now planted flags up and down the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of Florida with marinas as far north as Fernandina Beach, as far south as The Perry Marina in Key West, and as far west as Clearwater Beach Marina.

“We are delighted to welcome Dania Beach Marina to our portfolio and are proud to be part of such an integral aspect of Dania Beach’s community fabric,” said Kenneth Svendsen, CEO of Oasis Marinas.

Dania Beach Marina is not just a marina; it’s a vital cornerstone for residents with a significance that extends beyond its exceptional amenities, serving as a hub for recreation, commerce and connection within the local area,” Svendsen added.
