
The Pickle Pad Opens First Location In Tallahassee
Today, Atlanta-based NRD Capital announced the grand opening of a brand new franchise concept under the firm’s Active Brands platform company.
The Pickle Pad is a unique indoor facility that combines multiple pickleball courts with a sit down restaurant and a variety of other indoor yard and social bar games to keep members and guests entertained.
The official press release describes the new facility at 1925 North Monroe as “a 27,000-square-foot facility offering an unforgettable experience for both pickleball enthusiasts and novices in the community. The indoor courts at The Pickle Pad are professional-grade Cushion X courts.
Beyond pickleball courts, lessons, and league play, gaming options will include an innovative pickleball simulator called PIQLZ and a full selection of backyard bar games like cornhole, foosball, darts, and supersized dominos.”
Dining, Gaming & Membership Options
In addition to indoor pickleball, The Tallahassee Pickle Pad and future locations will feature what is described as “a chef-inspired restaurant and bar” called Crave Social Eatery which will feature bowls, salads, smoothies and flatbreads.

Beyond the main attraction of pickleball, the gaming options at The Pickle Pad are grouped into three different categories:
- Yard & Social Bar Games like Billiards, Dome Hockey and Foosball
- Backyard Games like Ping Pong, Cornhole, Ladder Ball and Ring Toss
- Supersized Fun Games like 8-Person Foosball and Yard Dominos

The primary benefit of Silver membership is “Members Only access to The Pickle Pad on weekday mornings,” while the Gold package offers “one hour of free court time on weekdays for you and up to 7 guests.”
The Pickle Pad Franchise Program Eyes Nationwide Expansion
Today’s official press release for The Pickle Pad indicates that NRD Capital is eyeing expansion of their new franchise concept across the United States and perhaps beyond like their successful Altitude Trampoline Park concept.

While the original Altitude Trampoline Park opened in Kissimmee in 2019, the franchise can now be found in 28 states and 3 foreign countries including Argentina, Mexico and Spain.
According to today’s press release, the company is looking to Southeast and Midwest markets for the initial phase of The Pickle Pad expansion, and interested franchise operators can contact them directly on their website.
