Georgia-Based Neenah Industrial Solutions Rebrands to Indafor

Neenah Rebranded As Indafor

Georgia-based Neenah Industrial Solutions, a leading manufacturer of critical components and industrial solutions, today announced that the company has been rebranded as Indafor.

The rebranding campaign for Indafor goes well beyond a simple name change and extends across the company’s entire sales platform and marketing collateral with a bold new look for the Georgia manufacturing company.

The rebrand provides the perfect opportunity for Neenah Industrial Solutions to move beyond the legacy parent company Neenah-based name and adopt a new name, look, contemporary website, and updated marketing collateral, resulting in the launch of the Indafor brand,” according to the company’s press release.

Over 150 Years of Neenah Solutions

While the rebrand firmly establishes a new name and image for the Georgia-based manufacturing business, the Neenah name dates back to 1873 when Neenah Paper was founded in Wisconsin.

Around thirty years later, the company started manufacturing writing paper and butcher paper at its Munising Paper Mill in Munising, Michigan, according to the company’s official timeline.

In 1911, a Michigan historian described the plant as “perhaps the largest plant of the kind in Michigan, and one of the most extensive in the United States. Its daily output is about 70 tons, with an ultimate capacity of 110 tons, and it has over 200 men on its payroll, amounting to $150,000.” (Source: Lea’s Field Guide)

Industry Firsts and Breakthroughs

Neenah Industrial Solutions had industry breakthroughs in 1908 with the introduction of a distinctive mill brand watermark and in 1962 with the introduction of Classic Laid, the most widely recognized premium uncoated paper in North America.

Over the next 60 years, Neenah would continue to innovate and develop new industrial solutions ranging from coating/saturation with new synthetic polymers and reinforced papers for medical packaging to fiber abrasive backings for grinding discs and sustainable, durable label solutions like Endura®.

Over the past twenty years, Neenah has come to be recognized as more of a global manufacturer with the addition of manufacturing facilities in Bruckmül, Germany and the Red Bridge facility in Bolton outside Manchester in the U.K.

New Indafor Brand Reflects The Company's Mission

Company representatives described the new branding as more reflective of the company’s mission. The company’s new name, Indafor, is a combination of “Industrial” and the Latin word for strength, “fortis,” according to the official press release.

The brand’s tagline, “Where it all comes together,” positions it for a future of continued partnership, process, and progress in pressure-sensitive tape backings, performance labels, medical packaging, dispersible technology, abrasive backings, and specialty paper markets.

“The Indafor brand more accurately reflects our mission to put our customers at the forefront, connect the dots between past experience and future success, and provide innovation as a solution,” said Indafor VP of Sales Mike Monaghan.
